Robertsbridge is a large rural village in East Sussex within the civil parish of Salehurst & Robertsbridge and located about 12 miles north of Hastings.
The largest of the three settlements in the parish, Robertsbridge, owes its existence to the founding of a Cistercian Abbey in the 12th century.
The 14th and 15th centuries seem to have been particularly prosperous and have left a legacy of many timber framed houses in the village centre.
This site contains information about all aspects of this historic village plus links to relevant sites.
I intend to develop the site as more information becomes available and if you have any information which you think is relevant and would like to share it, please email info@aboutrobertsbridge.org.uk
